Aughrim's Free Music and arts Festival
- 2026 Dates -
Friday -24th of July
Saturday - 25th of July

OUR STORY

Craic in the Granite began way back in 2013 with our first festival and was an immediate mainstay in the Wicklow summer calendar. The festival was held for three years until it unfortunately lost momentum and ceased in 2015.

Under the guidance of original festival director Barry Reid, the festival made it's long awaited comeback in 2024. Despite the awful weather (thank you Irish Summers!) this first festival in nine years saw an amazing turn out and everyone agreed that "The Craic" was back!

2025 saw the fesitval's long-awaited return to Aughrim Main Street, with an opening night of stunning new art exhibitions and electrifying musical performances. 2026 promises to bring a jam-packed festival to Aughrim once again, bigger and bolder than ever before. With amazing live music, eye-opening art exhibitions and wonderful workshops its a weekend of family fun not to be missed.

Here's to many years of Craic in the Granite!
